# Tiles

The game map is composed of hexagonal tiles, each representing a different resource zone. These tiles are crucial for expanding your influence and collecting the essential resources needed to support your infrastructure and fleet. Understanding how tiles work and their influence levels is key to effective territory control and resource management.

There are four main types of tiles on the map, each associated with a specific resource:

**Influence Levels**

Each tile has an Influence Level, which determines how much influence and resources it generates. Influence is a crucial factor in determining your overall control over the map.

* Influence 1 Tiles: These low-level tiles generate a small amount of all four resources—Water, Gas, Titanium, and Mineral—along with 1 influence per hour. They are useful in the early stages of expansion.
* Higher Influence Tiles: As the influence level increases, tiles begin to produce only their specific resource (e.g., Water for Water tiles). For example, an Influence 90 Water Tile produces large quantities of Water and 90 influence per hour.

The higher the influence of a tile, the more resources it produces. For instance, a high-influence Water tile will only produce Water, but in greater quantities and with more influence generated per hour

**Tile Defenses**

Before you can occupy a tile and claim its resources, you must defeat its built-in defenses. The higher the tile’s influence level, the stronger its defenses will be, making higher-level tiles more difficult to capture.

* Defenses: Each tile has defenses that protect it from being easily occupied. Higher influence tiles have stronger defenses, requiring more strategic planning and powerful Strike Crafts to conquer.

Once a tile is occupied, you begin collecting the influence and resources generated by that tile. Holding high-influence tiles provides a significant advantage in both resources and territorial control.

Mastering tile occupation and expanding your influence across the map is crucial for long-term success, as it ensures a steady flow of vital resources while increasing your strategic dominance over other players.
