# Movement Range

### Movement Range

Movement in the game is restricted based on territory control and proximity to your Base Stations or Outposts. To effectively plan your attacks and expansions, you need to understand the movement rules and how to extend your range.

**Movement Rules**

Your ships can only move to tiles that are:

| | |
| ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Occupied by you, your Guild, or your Faction: Tiles under your control appear green, while Guild members’ tiles are blue, and Faction members’ tiles are purple. |

|
| Adjacent Tiles: You can only attack tiles that are immediately adjacent to a controlled tile. Unlinked tiles cannot be attacked or moved to. |

|

Additionally, your Base Stations and Outposts define your Movement Range. Ships outside this range cannot move, attack, occupy tiles, or receive reinforcements.

**Outposts**
Outposts work similarly to Base Stations and help extend your Movement Range. Once you’ve captured a tile, you can build an Outpost on it to increase the range of your operations. Outposts allow you to:

* Deploy Battlegroups farther across the map.
* Expand your Movement Range, enabling you to explore and occupy distant tiles.

Building and utilizing Outposts strategically will help you extend your influence across the map.\

**Bastions**
Bastions are shared guild structures that serve as strategic on-map buildings, providing expanded operational reach for assigned battle groups. Only Guild Officers can build them, and they occupy hex tiles similar to Outposts. All guild members may assign one battle group to each Bastion, boosting tactical flexibility. While placement is unrestricted by terrain or structure proximity, Bastions can only be built in friendly or neutral territory—not in enemy-controlled zones.
* **Only Guild Officers** can build Bastions
* **One battle group per member** can be assigned to each Bastion
* **Occupies hex tiles** and acts like an Outpost, extending range
* **No adjacency restrictions**
* **Can only be built in friendly or neutral territory**, not in enemy zones.

**Fuel**
| | |
| ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Moving a BattleGroup on the map consumes **Fuel**, which regenerates over time. Proper fuel management is essential for maintaining mobility. |

|
| If you no longer wish to control a tile, you can **Abandon** it. The tile will revert to unoccupied status after a certain period. You can cancel this action anytime before the timer expires. |

|
|

You can Recall a Ship under the following conditions:

Cancel a Deployment or Attack: You can cancel the action within the first 3 minutes, sending the Ship back to its original tile. You will also receive half the Fuel cost back, unless the ship is in a Draw state.

|

|
| You can also **Summon** stationary ships on the map, recalling them to your Base Station or an Outpost. This allows you to regroup your forces and reposition them as needed. |

|

Understanding Movement Rules and using Outposts, Recall, and Summon features strategically will ensure you stay mobile and ready to strike when the opportunity arises.
